On route: keeping cool, sore paws (and feet)
9am -34km walk starts: Those in for the long haul get underway, led off by ultra marathon runner Chris Moon, HALO's Jenny McIvor and an extremely speedy running trio. The rest of us will just settle for making it round with minimal blisters!
10am -15km walk starts: The middle distance teams hit the road, including four-year-old William on his first 15km walk.
11am -5km walk starts: Walkers young and old set off. We are delighted to be joined by octogenarian, Quentin Goggs.

Finally...the finish is in sight!
After many weary miles we're almost there. The finish comes quicker for some than others—our running trio clock an impressive 3 hours 52 minutes over 34km! But the triumph on crossing the line is universal. Now it's time for the much deserved BBQ.
It's been an incredible day, between us we've walked 16.5 million steps and most importantly, thanks to your amazing participation, together we have created SAFE STEPS for families around the world living with landmines.
Many thanks to the HALO suppliers who donated equipment or money to help make SAFE STEPS, including, , , , and
